The Fourth 2020 Lecture on China’s National Conditions of the China Diplomatic Academy Held Successfully

The Foreign Ministry held the fourth 2020 Lecture on China’s National Conditions of the China Diplomatic Academy on July 27th. Liu Junchen, Vice Chairman of NPCLAC (The National People's Congress Legislative Affairs Commission), was invited to give a special report on "studying the civil code in depth for promoting its implementation". The lecture is hosted by the Department of Personnel and organized by the China Diplomatic Academy. Vice President Lan Heping of the China Diplomatic Academy presided over the lecture, and nearly 400 staff members from affiliated institutions were present.



Combining with the great significance and overall consideration of the promulgation and implementation of the Civil Code, Vice Chairman Liu Junchen explained in detail the background and legislative considerations of the main contents of the Civil Code, made an in-depth analysis of the distinctive Chinese characteristics, practical features and characteristics of the times contained in the Civil Code and its milestone significance in the process of socialist rule of law with Chinese characteristics in the new era, and briefly explained the formulation of relevant foreign-related legal provisions of the Civil Code.


The students all said that the report has a high political position, strong theory and rich content, which can help them deepen their comprehension and understanding of the Civil Code, consciously set an example in studying, observing and maintaining the Civil Code, and constantly improve their ability and level to perform their duties, exercise their functions and powers and carry out external work according to law.
