The Second 2020 Lecture on China’s National Conditions of the China Diplomatic Academy Successfully Held

On May 27, 2020, the Foreign Ministry held the second 2020 Lecture on China’s National Conditions of the China Diplomatic Academy. Ma Baocheng, a professor and doctoral advisor of public management at the Party School of the CPC Central Committee (Chinese Academy of Governance) delivered a report themed on the system and the capability modernization of state governance. The seminar was hosted by the Department of Personnel of the Foreign Ministry and organized by the China Diplomatic Academy.

Professor Ma Baocheng introduced the spirit of the important speech of General Secretary Xi Jinping on containing the COVID-19 against the background of the current situation of the epidemic. He also mainly explained the remarkable strengths of China’s governance system and capacity reflected in epidemic prevention and control measures, namely central, unified leadership of the CPC Central Committee, a people-centered approach, close ties with the masses, concentrating resources on major initiatives, comprehensively advancing the rule of law in China, identifying minimum requirements, and put forward some suggestions on major tasks of accelerating system and the capability modernization of state governance.
