On January 4, Xu Jian, President of China Foreign Affairs University (CFAU) and Chancellor of China Diplomatic Academy (CDA), met with Dr. Mohamed Ghassan Mohamed Adnan Shaikho, Ambassador of Bahrain to China, and his delegation. The meeting was attended by Gao Ming, Director of the Academic Affairs Department of CDA, and Qu Dan, Deputy Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of CFAU.

On behalf of CFAU and CDA, President Xu first extended welcome to the delegation led by Ambassador Dr. Mohamed Ghassan Mohamed Adnan Shaikho and briefly introduced CFAU and CDA. Both sides then exchanged their views on the training for diplomats and the cooperation between the diplomatic training institutions of the two countries. As is pointed by President Xu,  China and Bahraini enjoy a friendly relationship, and the Chinese side will continue to conduct mutual learning and win-win cooperation with the Bahraini side, strengthen the training for diplomats of both countries and promote the development of the bilateral relationship of friendly cooperation between both sides. Ambassador Dr. Mohamed Ghassan Mohamed Adnan Shaikho thanked President Xu Jian for the meeting and briefly introduced the Bahraini Academy of Diplomatic Studies and training of Bahraini diplomats. Ambassador Dr. Mohamed Ghassan Mohamed Adnan Shaikho said that the Chinese side has rich experience in training diplomats. As a member of the board of the Bahraini Academy of Diplomatic Studies, he is looking forward to deepening cooperation with CFAU and CDA in the field of education and training of diplomats.

Ambassador Dr. Mohamed Ghassan Mohamed Adnan Shaikho is a senior Bahraini diplomat who has worked as Ambassador to China since October 2021. He has previously served as Ambassador to India, Indonesia and other countries.
