Ambassador Cui Qiming Attends the Opening Ceremony of the 2022 Online Training Session for Tajik Diplomats

On March 29, , CPC Committee Secretary of China Foreign Affairs University (CFAU) and Vice Chancellor of China Diplomatic Academy (CDA) Cui Qiming attended the opening ceremony of the 2022 online training session for Tajik diplomats and delivered a speech. Counsellor of the Department of European-Central Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China Jiang Xiaoyang, and the head of the training center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Mirboboev, attended and addressed the ceremony.

Ambassador Cui Qiming positively commented that the diplomatic training was opportune and of great significance to enhancing bilateral cooperation and enriching the connotation of China-Tajikistan comprehensive strategic partnership under the new circumstances. Guests from the two countries said that it was significant in a practical and historical sense to hold the online training session for Tajik diplomats on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of China-Tajikistan diplomatic relations. It is believed that through the session, diplomats from both countries will strengthen mutual learning and communication, consolidate and enhance friendly China-Tajikistan relations, and contribute more wisdom and strength to the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Tajikistan.

The training session was hosted by the Department of European-Central Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China and organized by CDA, and was attended by diplomats from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan and the Embassy of Tajikistan in China. It was an innovative move in foreign-related training session as it was the first one held for diplomats and friends from foreign countries through live streaming. During the training, senior Chinese ambassadors and distinguished Chinese experts and scholars gave lectures featuring Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy, China’s foreign policy, China’s pandemic response and socio-economic development, China’s experience in poverty alleviation, and the Belt and Road Initiative, and interacted with diplomats from the Tajik side.
