From March 29 to April 13, the 2022 online training session of the diplomats for Tajikistan, hosted by the Department of European-Central Asian Affairs and co-organized by China Diplomatic Academy (CDA), was held successfully. This training session is an exchange and cooperation project planned and implemented by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of China and Tajikistan on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of China-Tajikistan diplomatic relations. It is also the first time for CDA to hold a foreign-related training session in the form of live streaming against the backdrop of pandemic. Both countries attached great importance to this training session. The Chinese side had carefully organized courses and arranged training parts, while many diplomats from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan and the Embassy of Tajikistan in China attended all the courses of this session. The training session concluded with great success, injecting new impetus into further enhancing the connotation of the cooperation between China and Tajikistan.

CPC Committee Secretary of China Foreign Affairs University (CFAU) and Vice Chancellor of CDA Cui Qiming attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Vice Chancellor of CDA Xu Zhongsheng, presided over the closing ceremony and issued certificates of completion to the trainees online. Several senior Chinese ambassadors and renowned Chinese experts and scholars were invited to give online lectures to or communicate online with the participants on topics including Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy, major-country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics, pandemic response and socio-economic development, China’s experience in poverty alleviation, the Belt and Road Initiative, the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind. Besides, an innovative activity was arranged for the Tajik trainees – an online visit to Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum, which enabled them to experience China’s rich and profound cultural heritages.

In the process of training and online visit, the trainees spoke highly of the extensive and profound wisdom of Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy, the remarkable achievements of China’s development, and the brilliant and splendid Chinese civilization. They thought this training built an important platform for Tajik diplomats to have a more comprehensive understanding of China’s basic national conditions and its global contributions, and also a deeper understanding of China’s foreign policy and its path of peaceful development. Also, it further strengthened the friendship between the diplomats and diplomatic departments of China and Tajikistan and laid a more solid foundation for future cooperation between two countries. The Tajik side expressed its gratitude to the Chinese side for its brilliant plan and thoughtful arrangements, and will take this training session as an opportunity to constantly advance exchanges and cooperation, further enhance the level of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Tajikistan and China, and work together to benefit the two countries and their peoples.
